Jenni Donald BVSc, PhD, Diplomate ACVP
Jenni completed her veterinary degree at Massey in 1990, after working as a Microbiologist in the dairy industry and with a veterinary vaccine company. She spent 3 years in Sydney in small animal practice, then returned to Massey and completed a combined PhD/pathology residency. Her research was on the prevalence of equine herpesvirus types 1 & 4 in horses in New Zealand.
After completion of the PhD in 1998, Jenni went to work at the University of Missouri as a Clinical Instructor. In September 2000, Jenni successfully completed the examination for the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in Clinical pathology. She returned to New Zealand in October 2000 and has worked in diagnostic laboratories since. Her interests are mainly in cytology, haematology and endocrinology with a bent towards small animal medicine.
