Yvette Macpherson
Yvette heads the Microbiology and Parasitology functions of our Hamilton laboratory and provides company-wide leadership in these areas. NZVP has an active policy of supporting our clients’ in-clinic testing, and Yvette has developed expertise in auditing and refining FEC and mastitis laboratory methods. Through parallel testing we are able to provide ongoing QA support that provides the necessary assurance that the results from such functions are at the level of accuracy required.
Yvette’s rapidly-growing standing amongst the veterinary profession has been further enhanced recently through the acceptance of her presentation on the support of in-clinic FEC onto the agenda of the New Zealand Parasitological Society Conference. Her microbiology expertise has also been recognised through being named in the paper co-authored by her colleague, pathologist Isobel Gibson, and by Jess Shelgren from The Veterinary Centre, Te Awamutu. This paper has been accepted for the prestigious IDF International Mastitis Conference.
