James Connell
Following his achievement of a BSc, James gained significant experience in the dairy industry. Upon joining NZVP he spent three years as a 2IC in the Hamilton lab.
His promotion and transfer to Palmerston North in early 2010 was notable on several fronts. It recognised the growth in submissions at that lab, enhanced uniformity of practices between the sites and offered James career progression. Of major importance to James, NZVP and the New Zealand veterinary profession was the opportunity to establish a parasitology function at the Palmerston North site.
James is actively developing a network of contacts within the Massey University and AgResearch parasitology teams based at the Massey campus, which will provide NZVP with access to expertise that benefits the training and development of our staff as well as providing our clients a great depth of service.
