Biochemistry Analyser QA Programme
Benchmarking and reporting for In-clinic Analysers.

“In-house quality assurance programmes are essential for monitoring test precision, but it is participation in an external quality assurance programme that confirms accuracy” Dr. James Matthews.

Peace of Mind and Quality Assurance for your In-Clinic Chemistry Analyser
The decision to purchase an in-clinic diagnostic analyzer was an important business decision. Now you’ll want to protect your investment, ensure you’re getting the best quality data from your analyzer, and ultimately enhance your clinic’s reputation. Although you will be running internal controls each week, it’s recommended you participate in an external QA programme to achieve ultimate performance. NZVP’s QA Programme will help you do just this, simply. By subscribing to our monthly QA programme, results from samples tested in our IANZ accredited laboratory allow you to assess your analyser’s accuracy, meaning you can continue to use your in-clinic chemistry analyzer with confidence.

How does the NZVP QA Programme Work?
Once a month NZVP will courier overnight samples from our laboratory to your clinic. After running these samples through your in-clinic analyser and returning the results, NZVP will produce benchmark reports for the 12 main chemical analytes including calcium, cholesterol and glucose. From these reports (see report breakdown below) you’ll be able to determine if your analyser’s results fall within the acceptable variance of the NZVP samples. Do this once a month to assure your clinic’s analyser results are accurate. That’s how Quality Assurance works.

What are the benefits?
By ensuring your in-clinic analyser is performing well, you can be assured the chemical data you use for timely diagnostics and treatment is accurate. When you are confident with your results, your customers will be reassured in knowing their pets are receiving the best quality care and treatment.

How do I subscribe to the programme?
Just call us. Sign-up and you’re away. One of NZVP’s expert staff will talk you through the programme – it’s simple, and before you know it, you will have an increased level of confidence in the results you are working with.

NZVP QA Programme
At NZVP we recognise confidence in the accuracy of your in-clinic chemistry analyser is important to the ongoing health of your clinic’s business. Our QA Programme takes the guesswork out of regularly checking your in-clinic analyser and benchmarks your equipment against other analysers in the industry.

The NZVP QA Programme works with all brands of analysers. Our expert technicians are only a freephone call away to answer any questions you may have. If your analyser results do vary widely from the benchmarks, our NZVP technicians are available to interpret the results for you and we can advise if additional corrective action may need to be considered in conjunction with the supplier of your analyser.
