NZVP offers its services exclusively to veterinarians, tertiary institutions, and animal health research institutes. Please consult your veterinarian if you have an animal that may require diagnostic testing.
NZVP is a complete veterinary diagnostic laboratory offering service from two sites, one in Hamilton and one at Massey University in Palmerston North. The two laboratories are both equipped with state-of-the-art analysers and are linked by a common computer system and phones, allowing for rapid transmission and discussion of results with you from either site.
Massey University is a shareholder in NZVP and the Palmerston North laboratory operates out of the IVABS building. The IVABS partnership with NZVP is a two-way street: NZVP provides case material for undergraduate and postgraduate training, whilst IVABS lends some of its considerable expertise to NZVP, allowing you to access the knowledge present within the IVABS corridors.
